Natural healing herbs are the last remaining relatives of the plants that once grew in the Garden of Eden.
Today we are seeing a sudden awareness to the value of natural healing herbs. Conventional medicine has grown outrageously expensive; not to mention the fact of making a person feel insignificant and ignored as an individual; but seen as a statistic. To save time, money and limit dependence on medical practitioners; more and more Americans have turned to prevention and self care.
The healing properties of natural healing herbs have not changed. What was natural healing herbs a thousand years ago is still natural healing herbs today. Technically herbs are plants and grasses, but many shrubs and trees are also used in herbal healing.
Nutritionists today find that in every disease there is a deficiency of a certain dietary mineral. For instance; sodium is lacking in people with arthritis; magnesium is lacking in people with bowel disturbances; silicon is necessary for healthy nerves, skin, hair and sulfur is a blood purifier; potassium is important for metabolism and a lack of zinc causes many sexual conditions. These are but a few examples.
Natural healing herbs have taken these minerals from the soil of the earth for mans use. They fit in with the variety of chemical elements that man has in his system. It only makes sense that they work because their root structure goes into the earth and picks up these minerals.
In my opinion we do not use natural healing herbs enough considering the benefits they offer in protecting our health. There are natural healing herbs of many kinds and for many different purposes. I believe that natural healing herbs are “special” health enhancing foods and their potency is presented with gentleness.
